They then advance to the clinical part of the training in Mayo. At the end of the program, students receive a certificate of echocardiography, sonography or X-ray and can participate in the licensing exam. This affiliation allows students with a doctorate in osteopathic medicine to enroll in LECOM`s earliest „4-4“ reception program. Students attend Alfred State College for four years, followed by four years at LECOM College of Osteopathic Medicine. Medical students can choose campuses in Erie and Greensburg, PA; Bradenton, FL; or LECOM`s last campus, LECOM in Elmira, to complete its training. „We are pleased to train future generations of osteopathic physicians, pharmacists and dentists with LECOM,“ said Michael T. Victor, President of Lake Erie College. „This agreement will benefit both institutions as we try to meet the urgent health needs of people of all ages, now and in the future.“ This affiliation allows students who currently enroll in Alfred State`s four-year health program to be enrolled simultaneously at LECOM as participants in an Early Reception Program (AEAP). As part of the EAP, LECOM will interview students prior to enrolling in Alfred State or during the first two years of study at the CSA. „I am honoured to be part of such a great program.
